It depends.
A game could look old like PacMan, Mario Brothers, or Warcraft -- and if someone said they couldn't play it because it's not bleeding edge graphics I'd agree with you.
Some games just end up looking like a mess when they get older though -- and if someone couldn't play it now because of it I wouldn't feel bad about it.
It does not really need to be old either... Nintendo Land just looks like a cluttered uninspired mess and that would detract me from playing it. ((Which actually shocks me -- as Nintendo usually makes do REALLY well with low resources...))
But there are some games that rot down to that very quickly... whereas others hold up well.
