Distance - TRON style arcade racing game

Distance is a survival racing game that combines the intense action of arcade racing with the exploration of an atmospheric world. You control a unique car that allows you to boost, jump, rotate, and even fly through a chaotic and twisted city. The world has a mysterious history, and as you explore you'll be able to uncover pieces of its past.

The game is a spiritual successor to the multi-award winning game Nitronic Rush, created by ourselves and 8 others while attending DigiPen Institute of Technology.

You guys should really check out the Kickstarter page and back this game on Steam Greenlight!

Looks dope. I've been working on a 2d car game, was thinking of adopting it into a tron light cycle gameplay but this blows it out of the water

I have a feeling after a while I'd get very motion sick.

Reminds me a little bit of Rush 2049 from when I played it on the N64. Looking forward to this.

    Also:

The team's also been working with Chin Fong, an environment artist on the upcoming Halo 4, to develop the look and feel for the game. He did all of the beautiful concept paintings and the poster shown above.
The Forerunner-esque environs fit better here than in Halo 4.

Yeah, I remember reading something on their website that it was a mix of Rush, TRON, and Halo. Initially I didn't get the Halo part until I started looking at the geometry style of a lot of the buildings and the like.

Well that's funny, because Halo 4 has a lot of TRON in it...

Methinks this guy should branch out a wee bit.

Nah. If you do one thing and do it really well, keep doing it I say.

This looks badass. I'd definitely buy it.

i fucking love it when games integrate the hud into actual game objects. dead space was a TON more immersive because of that, and this game looks to be doing the same thing. kick ass.
