    Question Question on OS/Vehicle limit?

    Does Open Sauce allow more than just 6 vehicle types? I know that you can bypass that limit through scripting, but this is a question about OS. And if it doesn't, does anyone know if that's a feature that is planned? I was also reading the change logs and came across this, https://code.google.com/p/open-sauce...c455c5d9af50c7 wondering what it does exactly?

    These are just my questions, as I am a bit new to OS in general.

    In your OS_Settings.User.xml file, look for the "disableVehicleRemapper" attribute (it's a true or false). If it's not there by default, you can look for where it's at in the template and figure out where to put it.

    Set it to "true"

    This will enable the "experimental disableVehicleRemapper option to try to stop the game from only spawning the first 6 vehicle types when the globals supports up to 20. Race game types don't use the remapper so the code modification takes advantage of this check".

    Honestly, I forget if this experimental feature is still working in the latest build (it'll be 'usable', but 'working' I'm not sure). At any rate, it should behave just like Race game variants do with regards to vehicle re/spawning

    Yeah like you said it wasn't there by default, although it is usable, it doesn't seem to be working.

    Plans? No. In fact I've only made 8 commits to our repo since Feb (FS has me beat by 1), that's how active I am with Halo1 right now. Most of development was spearheaded with CMT (and their associated testers) who could provide us with mature testing and feedback. Since the team is pretty much campaign based, my motivation to work on MP stuff in OS is currently dwarfed by finishing/working on save/MP script editors for Halo Wars/Reach/H4 which target a larger, more active audience.
