Hey im new to map editing but i would love to learn and i have all the software but i dont know where to begin. So is there any tutorials out there for map making or any work ground (teamspeak or chat where people talk about making maps)? So that means when i learn then i will hopefully be able to help out on maps and make some apon request (halo 3 maps).

Not yet, people are still getting to grips with the editor, that included advanced mappers. Plus the game isn't offically out yet, saying that it shouldn't be too long before a few tutorials come out.
In the meantime just sit down with the tutorial that's included with the H2EK and mess around abit, trial and error is a good way to learn how to use the provided tools.
i def agree.. self taught is the way to go. id give ya a lil runnaround with it, but my comp is getting a full 24 hour diagnostic on it at best buy atm.. went fubar on me over the past week. You should have seen the faces of those geek squad guys though, they gawked at my rig for 10 min before asking me what i needed help with. no joke either.
