my dad's old Compaq Presario R3000 had a similar problem. It had a mobile amd athlon 64 3200+ (high end in 2004) but only a Geforce 4 Go MX440 (which is a disguised Geforce 2). It came with 512 MB of RAM (1 GB+ in laptops was quite expensive then) and the whole rig cost $2000. Yup, I think those PC's are suppose to be for media stuff, not gaming.
We should just make a sticky that says "bad performance in H2V? Upgrade your graphics card before asking!"
