    UVW mapping? - Vegetarians beware!

    Does anyone have a copy of the advanced UVW tutorial thats listed on Ghost's tutorial resource page?

    Unfortunately the only link there is to the wiki....

    There are plenty of perfectly good UVW mapping tutorials all over the internet. Look for an alternative before asking.

    I only have access to AIM on this unit. Is that anygood to you?

    I am buildng my first map completely from scratch, and of course I need to apply different mapping to various sections of the BSP. Problem is, I can apply the textures ok, but the UVW affects all of the areas, not just the faces selected?

    heres a couple of pics.
    The main wall bitmap is ok.


    But the end wall I cant seem to get onto a seperate uvw, which is screwing them up.


    Im not worried about the sub-objects in the first pic as I can uv them individually.

    Well theres no F***g way I was building a box map as my first attempt...
    So I went with the next obvious thing, playing a halo game inside a living organism.
    Its a good size map 20,000 units by 6,000 diameter.

    Eeverything compiles ok, material ID is set so that the level bleeds if it get hit by stray rounds etc. But the snarky uv on the end walls is slowing me down.

    I found a good tutorial on unwrapping, so I'm gonna give that a shot this avo.

    If you want in, I have room for someone who could add some models...

    I was going to go multi BSP, so you could jump to different parts of the body, bit like incredible journey. But then I woke up, and thought "one step at a time dumbass"

    EDIT* TOP TIP! if you ever go to medical sites looking for potential textures, DO NOT go immediately after eating.

    Pft, weak-stomached pansy.

    I'm not working on much Halo-ish content right now (aside from the still incomplete MG) but I am working on a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 sniper...
