They demonstrated the difference between a CPU and a GPU, just :awesome:. The site is in Dutch but the videos are of course in English. Almost 15 mins of pure :awesome:, too bad they didn't bring buster with them.

Hope to see this in a mythbusters episode soon. I want to see how they made this baby.
PS: if you have better quality vids please post/link them here.

...
Why? That didn't explain the difference between CPUs and GPUs at all :gonk:... Whatever, it was cool to watch.

Loved the slow-mo part. Just a wave of paint after they all hit, was truly epic win.
Freelancer: It was comparing speed of rendering/drawing. The CPU took a long time to do a little bit while the GPU did a lot in a little time.

A GPU processes in parallel like Jamie said, able to perform a lot more at once.

Now that I know that it's possible to paint my room like this... who wants to help me build the machine. :P

they just dis-proved one of there myths... altho I think the myth was can you paint a room with a stick of dynomite.
Technically they just painted roughly a 6ft x 8ft sheet of canvas in miliseconds with compressed air which could be argued to be an "explosion" So technically they could paint a room with one of these and call it painting a room with an explosion.
lol... either way pretty cool, over kill, yes but cool.
Leave it to the mythbusters to take anything and everything too far. :XD:

It cannot be argued as an explosion. It is not an explosion.

Mass barrage of paintballs, followed by a thin wave of paint bounced back from the sheer force of the main impact(s).

I hate mythbusters. They cheat or improvise to the point where the tests no longer even remotely replicate a real-life situation. Then when their shitty test fails to produce results they claim it's busted or not.

You are the worst poster on Modacity and that is saying a lot. For adding to the discussion concerning mythbusters and their validity? I should take more examples from users like you who blatantly flame for flame's sake. :)
