We have it set up so you can run over another BRG, and **gasp** press E to pick it up!!!!!!! Then all your ammo except the grenades transfers over. No waiiii!!! Ya waiii!!!! alright?!! STFU FOOO

I actually don't mind having to swap BRs to get more grenades. It only takes about 1 second more than it usually takes to pick up ammo, and if you are in your base, it won't make a difference (you probably won't get killed in that 1 second more).

Thank god for this. Over all I enjoy the BRG and think it is a valuable resource when in CTF games, makes it seem less hopeless when the apposing teams flag runner has made it past the half way point on the map. It also seems to help cut down on the vehicle whoring seeing as how you may just have a high velocity grenade with the enemy driver’s name on it.
I have however found that a lot of the, newer (nicer word for them) additions to the CMT maps seem to enjoy relying mainly on the BRG. They don’t seem to understand there are these small led peaces inside of the guns ammo clip that are a lot more effective and convenient for battle. Forcing them to have to swap out for an entirely new BRG in order to get the explosion fix is a great way to cut down on this.

ya, BRGs should have pick ups! PPL are TOO LAZY TO PICK IT UP, PPL LIKE ME< PPL WHO HAVE THE CMT MAPS ARE TOO LAZY TO PICK IT UP!!! Polar bear is right, find those GOD!

The 'nades on the BR aren't that cheap. They do require some aiming, and can be suicide at too close of a range. Plus, they don't do as much damage as real grenades, so if you get hit by one, you should still have time to run away and recharge.
Besides, if I were to see someone with a battle rifle equipped, I'd want to retreat out of range of his launcher, the same way I'd retreat out of range of people holding boomsticks.
I like this "swapping rifle" idea because it prevents noob whoring. I mean, in SPV1, you could hold an entire MAGAZINE of 12 grenades, plus a second mag in reserve, making for 24 grenades in all, plus there were confusions about actually picking up the grenades. Now you can only carry 6 at a time, plus the "re-cocking" time of the launcher is slower, so the game is more balanced.

Oh, one thing I noticed in the SPV1 is that there were way too many BRG grenade pick-ups and no where near enough BRG bullet ammo.
In aotcr I found my BRG constantly full to the brim of grenade ammo, but on mostly empty, if not very low, bullet ammo.
But I guess this time round you'll just be leaving BRs around instead of seperate BRG grenades like you did last time, so it'll be ok.

never touch them. can't seem to hit with more than the 1st bullet out of the gun on multiplayer. i only use them for base deffence to flip hogs (then back to the AR and pistol)
in SPV1 they were just -"_-"

I think I remembered hearing something about grenade launcher bouncing cannot be executed in Halo 1's engine...
I definately heard that the Brute Shot bouncing can't be done...but I think it was on the same subject of grenade launchers too.

But you can't get it to explode in the air, unless you throw another 'nade under it, a la plasma fireworks. (Throw 2 plasmas on a flat plane, and one will throw the other into the air, where it will explode.)

isnt the whole point of the brg the nades? other than that its just a 4sk'ing pistol. at that point u ask yourself, why am i using this POS instead of my stronger spawn weapon?
if u nerf the brg nades, youre affectively nerfing the whole brg.
i mean, its nice to be able to defend yourself against vehicles and such, but when it comes down to it, if u cant shoot one of thsoe things and take a nice big ol' chunk out of yoiur enemy, there isnt even a reason for the weapon.

No they did not.
If you shoot it at an obtuse angle, it will detonate after it bounces about six feet.
However, it happens so fast, you barely notice it.

the bruteshot grenade in h2 coag bounced a little too, but it happens fast that you think it explodes on contact with anything, thats what i saw, cuz u see a spark when it hits the base or something.

Actualy, the BRG nade is the BS nade from H2 Coag, that and like, 5 other things are the only things in use. I think the oldest tag is from november 2004, and that would be the the particle system for the Plasma nades.

Like noobinator said, (or didn't say) remove the "lolbots" from the battle rifle, people with ping over 100 cannot hit anyone with it, because the autoaim fucks with their lead.
Yes masterz, I wrote this here because you keep telling me there aren't lolbots on the brg, but there ARE >:U

While you're at it remove the autoaim from the laser. Also, the Brute shot in h2 coagulation was a total failure, it was hard to aim and did almost no damage. I'm not sad to see it not wasting my weapon pickup space.

The laser in Halo 3 shoots one small, quick laser, but the one that you have shoots a long, long lasting laser. Maybe you should look to changing that. And the auto aim should be removed like FriedMetroid said.

We are doing the quick laser for SP, the long laser for MP. Autoaim was removed from the SL long ago. And the H2 coag BS owns, give me one of those and let me in your base and you will never get me out -_-.

The reason for no brute shot on CMT Coagulation (the newer one I assume) is they couldn't get the grenade's bounce to work over the netcode from what I remember. (or that's what they said.)

the bruteshot on h2 coag is pretty good and cool, but if it was remade, i mean the model and textures, it would be shiny like the assault rifle! :)
the bruteshot blade is a great weapon, one whack kills you, i think, and the grenades are pretty cool, even if it takes like 4-5 shots to kill.

I have not seen the brute shot in H2 Coagulation. Was it found at the same spot as the one in Halo 2?

I don't get why sometimes in some maps, when map creators put the brute shot and brute plasma rifles in their own maps, they make high pitched squealing noises, like a broken ghost with goo inside the engine or something malfunctioning. Why is of the reason? Like in i think bloodgulchrpgfinalmb or whatever that map is called, it had a ghost that shot brute plasma rifle shots, and then the map creator said that the crap sound is a bug.
CMT, can you make like a map tag pack with the weapons from H2 Coag?
and maybe another map tag pack with some weapons from the CMT Map Pack #1....

I C. So if they rip it and then fail, but still rip it and put it in their mod, it will produce that weird sound...like 1/1,000,000 ppl can get it right, ripping it without the sound file err w/e.
