Some peopel in the other thread wanted to know what the new vehicle HUD looked like, so heres a pic in the sandbox map we use. Look closely, you can see some weapons in development, and old cut weapons no longer in use.

That looks very nice. A big improvement over the old HUD you guys had in SPv1. And is that a newer energy sword in the background?

i spy:
an energy sword, 2 brute shots, 1 old smg, 1 new smg, 1 ma5k, an apparition, masterz driving as a marine and brute
(only listing things that arent "old"-ish or things that are odd-ish)

I also see 2 different looking Brute Shots and the old Anti Air Missile Launcher that was in SPv1.

No, i mean the big Missile Launcher that was in SPv1 that only had 1 missile per magazine, but it could kill anything in 1 shot.

i dont know what it is about it but it feels clustered and too big
i like the halo 2 HUD best because i really dont have to look all around the screen, i can look at my heath and radar at the same time (most critical for me) but this one makes me feel like i will be looking all over the screen
of course that wont stop me from playing it

True that this hud is very different from Halo2 and will take a bit to get used to, but since the CMT mod isn't necessarily a Halo2 or Halo3 specific mod, just a general Halo Series mod, it's good to have something unique ;)

True that this hud is very different from Halo2 and will take a bit to get used to, but since the CMT mod isn't necessarily a Halo2 or Halo3 specific mod, just a general Halo Series mod, it's good to have something unique ;)it is actually more like halo 3 if you look at the leaked screens.

We don't have one for that, we'll probably end up removing tank seats anyway, it's just a deathtrap for marines, and we could probably save some tag space getting rid of the anims and the anim sounds

The health bars will be blue. I think the green ones are some strange devmode thing that you have to enter a command for. (the trailer for the SPv1 had the green health bars, but the release had blue, yellow, and red, depending on health.

I've always prefered the green bars, since you can check your health more easier out of your perifiral (SP?) vision. I just changed it back to blue though.

He just said that he changed it to blue, unless I didn't understand correctly. And CMT chooses what they put in and what they don't, not the public. The public only influences their choices.

Or worse, they'd have drivable pelicans in Coagulation or a giant chainsaw attached to the sniper rifle. And they would have a messed up HUD too. Don't forget the giant orbital cannon attached to the plasma pistol either.

If ten or more find soemthing wrong or dislikes something about the mod...
the team must change it to make it better...if you know what i mean
for example.. many people dont like the Green health bars so the team must change it to mkae it better and fit for a good mod

Like the poll on make the nades like H1, when we tested that, it was such a good idea, it totaly killed the weapon ballance.

I'll say it again, the green health bars AREN'T in the CMT maps. Nor will they be, taking my proof from the SPv1 trailer, where the levels, weapons, and H2-style HUD were shown. That one had green health bars, but did the actual maps? No. Now we can stop talking about this. (But if CMT REALLY wants green health bars, we can't do anything about it.)

i hope that energy sword has lunge attacks, regular melee (F), secondary melee (left click button without reticle locked on and red).
Oh yeah, why do u need a jackal pr? i mean like is it gonna have a scope or something? its not like that different from a brute pr or regular pr...except for the colors i mean, but whats the use? give me a little info on the jackal pr!!!

Its to give the Jakals more of a sexy apeal, it has medium damage.
and Energy sword might lunge in sp but defenetly not in mp, it doesnt sync right

I think the Jackal PR shoots faster and uses less battery power than the others, but it does less damage. And yes, the jackals deserve their own weapons as well as the grunts (Grunt PP anyone?).

no point in a grunt PP. there is already a PP and the only guys that will use it now are grunts as jackals carry a PR.
also there maybe no sword.. its a collection of old and enw cmt weapons

I guess your right. But they never said that jackals would only carry their PR, there probably will be some jackals with Plasma Pistols. And why wouldn't there be a sword? I thought CMT was remaking the sword.

i forgot about the needlers. Is there any other weapons that you will be changing for certain characters such as elite Plasma Pistol? And will there be a carbine?

Don't know about a carbine... but from what CMT said there will be a sword. And I saw a thread about a possible combat knife. Is that being done, or is it a lost cause?

Besides, it would probably take up a lot of the little amount of tag space that they have left. And we meant a covenant carbine.
EDIT: How will the MA5K work? will it be automatic or one shot?

It's single click for semi auto single shot, and hold it down to go bullet hose.

I like the blue a lot more than the green, it's easier on the eyes. And the Brute PR looks very nice.

It works the way Masterz said for every weapon... you can fire the Pistol full auto too, just no one ever does it because it's a stupid idea. To be honest, It was a stupid idea to ever put it in there.

awww, i cant like play the SP for CE, so i'm not gonna be able to play any of the SPs, unless i have cable (hi speed internet, super hi speed at like 1000 mbps) and someone helps me to understand the steps to preparing SP. I hope CMT makes a mod like that for MP maps, looking at the AR, BR and the nade, the energy sword, and the maybe newly redone bruteshots? i'm only gonna play MP maps for now.

To be able to play SP in Halo CE you either use the console, or you get a SP enabled Menu for CE. You can get some at halomaps.

errrh i tried all known steps, including all Custom UIs that have Campaign, and Console, which i typed ~ and then map_name a10. BUT THEN, it just was loading, both ways showed the screen that is normally when you are waiting for the normal PC campaign maps to load/do w/e.

That's odd. Did you try redownloading the maps? There might be a chance that they are corrupted and the game didn't notice it.

Hmmm... I'm liking the HUD, but not so much as the mutliplayer one. The layout of it and it's design is good, but... maybe if it curved inward a little to give it a sense of depth? Other than that, I think it looks good.
