Basicly what the title is. I have no viruses (my pc was recently re-formatted, before it was scanned once a week, and since reformatting I have downloaded almost NOTHING and have only gone to the quake 2 evolved website, halomaps, the ut3 site, the quake 4 website, and here).
All I have downloaded are the programs that check you drives for things. THEY WERE SAFE. The programs are not supposed to take up 27 GB. Even limiting the system restore info. storage capacity doesn't help much!Right now, for some reason, my hard drive says I've used around 65 GB. All I've installed is UT3 and quake 4, downloaded a few things, but from the severs, and official patches from the websites (again, SAFE). This problem has been happening beofre I reformatted my PC, though at the time I think it was taking up 70-80 Gb of hardrive sapce EXTRA.
How do I fix this?! (Sorry for spelling errors, IE doesn't spell check , and it's late, I'm tired.)

I have no idea what you just said. Could you clarify?
I get that you've installed some games. And in total they should only take up around 20-30GB.
Could you list all the programs you're using?
Also, try this (http://sourceforge.net/projects/gdmap/)

I've had the same thing happen to me on my old XP computer, never figured out how to fix it, though I had a feeling it had to do with temporary files. Try finding those, and deleting them every so often, though try not to delete anything important, it could go wrong.

When I first got Vista, my hard drive space was disappearing as well. It was from the system restore points that vista creates. Somehow you can go in and limit the amount of hard drive space that Vista uses for system restore. You can also go in and delete all but the most recent restore point by using Disk Cleanup.

I tried that before my pc was reformatted. When it was all done, I still had around 15-20GB of used space extra. I'll try it again, though.

I reduced shadow storage to 7GB, and deleted restore points. I still have 16 GB of space taken up by something, but I don't know what it is. I have no viruses or Trojans.

Download it, check out what's taking a chunk of your hard drive space.
Also I think the "windows" folder in your main hard drive takes up 16 gb...at least it does for me...damn

My Windows folder takes up like 33 GBs, either that or that's My Documents folder. Idk why though, nothing really goes into my documents except Word and Powerpoint, Music, and low memory games. Weird right? Curse you windows....damn paperclip....
