No sound. - Problem

This may have been covered before, but my screen used to work on DVI cables going from the HDTV screen to the Computer. After awhile it started having problems, so I switched over to HDMI input for the computer and HDTV. Now I have a new problem.

The sound on the HDTV works just fine. But when I try hooking up headsets to any of the output audio ports on the computer itself, it doesn't give out any sound, instead sound comes out of the HDTV screen only.

Does this have something to do with the HDMI wire?

I don't think you can avoid having the sound output through the HDTV as long as you're using the HDMI cable. To use your headset you'll have to plug it into the TV itself which can be tricky.

I read the title as "No sound. No Problem". Too many movies.

Possibly you can do the "disable" thing under sound control, then plug ur headphones in and enable those?
