M6D Revamped

Ok, so I used the M6D from H1 as a ref for the main body and crap, and I ended up using the H3 pistol for detail ideas. Anyways, here it is, Dano is currently skinning it:

Smash, with the lump on the front, that covers the gun, your supposed to be able to see underneath it seeing as it's just a metal plate screwed on, but on yours, it's just a block sticking in there. Needs to be a seperate plate thing, on top of the gun. And you need to model the shutter, ejection thing whatever seperate, so it can be animated to open and close. Other than that, cool beans. I wasn't gunna start unwrapping until It was finished. Would have told you those things earlier, but yeah, haven't had contact of you :P

It's a much better model than the original Pistol? I suggest make the scope plating matte black. I never liked the way it looks like it was made specifically for the M6D, even though it probably was. Would add some much needed contrast to the weapon.

just for those of you that want to replicate halo 3, halo 3 does not have an m6D pistol, it has an M6G, this new pistol is rumored to be stronger, but as it was in halo2 with the M6C (magnum), this new pistol is rumored not to carry a scope.

Edit: The M6D has six gaps in the ribbing, not five.
And on the M6D they go all the way through from top to bottom; they're not engraved along the surface like the M6G.

^ indeed. I say Gulch, Chillout and Damnation need to get remade, exactly the same as they are, maybe some model and texture enhancments, but with halo 1's gameplay and halo 2's graphics, just for shits and giggles.
