View Full Version : Trees too tedious for the time it takes to model 'em? Look no further!

It's an automatic tree-generator for 3ds Max. Just thought I'd post about it since (as much as I love drawing them) tree modeling can be surprisingly time-consuming for such a simple object (like modeling groups of pipes or railing that looks aesthetically nice). Thoughts? Opinions?

didn't Dead island use Treegen for their trees?
I remember seeing this over at Crydev.

They may have, not sure, but this is the first time I've seen this. I wonder how well these trees work in CE. May need some Sauce....

... or if you're using UDK or a similar engine... Speedtree is already built in.

But yeah, free alternatives is great.
