Will CMT be converting their single player maps to the xbox? That would be so sweet since I don't have a good graphics card. :(

You wouldnt be able too. At least not yet anyway. You would have to have an original modded xbox to play them.

Ok explain how 360 players mod Halo 2 Xbox without being modded itself?

They hacked the maps and burnt them to a dvd. Hard to explain stuff.

I'm pretty sure that Masterz said that they would only be able to convert SPv2 to Xbox when\if Prometheus comes out.

You're right Hotrod, CMT will not be able to port the mod to xbox with the currents tools that we have. :)

Why would you want to play this sub-standard content on your xbox?

Why the hell do you come in here, if all you want to do is be an ass?

Sub-Standard? You fail.

Sub-Standard? Ppppffff. Let us all see if you can do any better. I've asked this before, but why do people who have personal vendettas against CMT come in this corner of Halo2vista forums to begin with?

And to answer your question, jerkface, half the people here have crap computers. Though I would think that upgrading one's computer takes less trouble than modding a system (which is also illegal I might add)...

Modding a console is not illegal if you do it to change game content. It's only illegal if *coughcough* you do it for the ability to read pirated games.

Anyway, CMT will try to make Xbox content, but so far they've only been doing tests by injecting weapons into H2X. A CMTSPV2 for xbox is plausible but not likely to happen anytime soon.

You say you don't have a good graphics card? If all you wanna do is play Halo PC, then you can find a Radeon 9600 AGP for under $50. Of course, you'd have to look in the $90+ category of PCI-e video cards if you want great performance on every PC game.

More like all PC games except those that came out within 1.5 years ago, you know, the ones ported from 360. You need like at least a $500 card for those babies. Yes I'm talking about the GeForce 8 family.

Anyway, wouldn't enabling the xbox to read extra content be along the same lines as making it read pirated games? After all, if SPv2 is ported to xbox, it's only practical that it be done in a format that could be burned onto a DVD that the xbox can read. And what more are pirated games but games burned onto DVD's? I was playing a modded xbox at my cousins' house, and half the games couldn't save, not to mention that it was a pain to turn on in that special way that enables the games to run correctly.

Your friend is bad at softmodding. All you have to do is insert the disc and it plays right away if you modded it the easy way.

It was my cousin, and I had to turn it off at a very specific time during the xbox's boot and turn it back on really fast for it to work properly. That was around 3 years ago though, I'm sure xbox hacking technology has advanced since then. Besides, that was in Hong Kong, and I'm positive they payed someone to do it for them, and you know how illegal chinese services are these days... I couldn't even get a couple of copies of illegal games without the dealer's merchandise runner being late 20 min! Avoiding the police?... ppppsssshhhhhh. (that really did happen, though I am kidding about the whole "I wasn't satisfied")

Get back on topic you guys.

This guy doesn't need to spend more than the cost of a new video game ($50-$60) just to get decent performance in Halo (upgrading video card). And Delta, my video card costs $80-$200 and it runs 99% of modern games, at least at 1024x768. You don't need to spent $500 on a damn VIDEO CARD unless you want 100+ frames in every game on max possible settings.

Anyway like I said, it is possible to port everything to Xbox, but it is not a priority and is somewhat troublesome.

by the way, I used to own a modded xbox, which I sold. When I had the modded xbox, I ran emulators of older consoles and copied some of my favorite games to the hard drive to speed up loading times (hate loading from the disc drive), and even added custom songs to the DDR game I had. Now I have an Xbox 360 and I've re-bought some legacy titles since they are all cheap now.

heh, try running Vegas. Hell, even I wouldn't spend $500, but that's what it takes for the new games coming out. Just look at End War for instance. You can tell from the trailers alone that it's going to be a preformance hog. $200 is suficient for some 360 games (nvidia7950/ATI1950) but will eventually become insuficient. Okay I'm done being off-topic, now I'll just lurk until something interesting comes up...
