Can you log in?

The Hackers were given the banhammer on their accounts (As was the rest of the Legends clan) and the person who had the recon armor was given a new account with the armor, from what I've heard.
But just because they were given the banhammer doesn't mean they can't do it again.

Sorta easy if he doesent clear off cookies.
In 3 easy steps

Create a cookie in whatever you feel like that is actualy going to log "Xbox.com" activity. have it report back to a server or email. If he sends his password over without anything blocking it. Vola you got your password.

Wrong.

It's social engineering. Microsoft's XBox LIVE support seems to not verify that the person calling for the account recovery info is actually the account holder.

lol. What's funny is that this guy called MS Support and they hung up on him. I'd definitely sue. I mean, is it so hard NOT to have drooling idiots as customer support? The least they could have done is admit they made a mistake and attempt to correct it.

I'm not sure if they did by now, but I find it EXTREMELY ironic, that microsoft does so much shit to annoy people "for their own security", yet such easy loopholes like this exist.

LOL.

I'll hold off putting my new credit card on my xbox account until they rectify their problems.

There are cards at any store that carries XBOX 360s that have a code on them that you type in to renew your subscription for however many months the card specifies. The cards cos t as much as a subscription would for that many months. i.e. 12-month subscription card costs $50.

Using the subscription cards is easier, not nessiccearly safier though. SUre they wont get hold of your CC details, however if they do steal your account, you have no way of proofing it was yours in the first place. If they do get hold of an account that uses a CC, there are CC policies in place to protect you.

Actually its 12 months + 1 bonus month for $50. So its way cheaper than renewing every year.

you only have to put them in once a year(If you buy the 12 months). Its hell of alot better than trusting your credit card with M$.

And if you asking about people taking the subscription code code. Once it's in no one can redeem it. Even if they can some how get the code its already used.

But if they steal your account, they are basically getting XBOX Live! service for free, since you have already payed for it.

Are you sure you didn't log onto Xbox.com? That counts as a Live login aswell.

Xbox Live was odd yesterday, wouldn't let you really fully connect and access the marketplace.. and you couldn't do anything xbox live related in the Dashboard, but I was still able to play regularly on Halo 3.

Yes.

My old account (PremiumTRain) was disabled due to it apparently "not a valid credit card" however they were still deducting cash from it about one month later.

Gayness.

lmao, this post actually made me laugh. More at the poster and not the content, but I got a good chuckle nonetheless.
