[Tutorial] Making a good old-fashioned multipurpose map.
The Phantom topic got me thinking that since there are no good tutorials for getting a MP map in, maybe tagging noobs could benefit from a little assistance. So I made a small little video on getting in a basic multipurpose map and covering the reflection and self-illumination properties.
Audio is shit and I had to use some crappy free screen recorder, but here you go.
Re: [Tutorial] Making a good old-fashioned multipurpose map.
Isn`t the Alpha channel the change color map? That seemed to always work for me.
Re: [Tutorial] Making a good old-fashioned multipurpose map.
I believe both work; in the shader tag's description, it states that the Blue channel is the change-color map and the Alpha is the auxiliary map, so I just recited that.

The tag description isn't correct anymore, I think it's an older method used in the development of halo.

I thought this thread was going to be about making maps word well for multiple game types. :v:

Isn't blue for detail maps, red for reflection? Or is it the other way around? Or am I an idiot?
