How to fix scratch xbox 360 games.

If you somehow manage to scratch one of you favorite 360 game, I figured out a way to fix it. Just have a friend come over who has the same game and put his disc in the console. Then install his game to you hard drive. Than once it is completed put your game in the 360. (note your game must able to at least be read EX: Play Halo 3) If it at least say to play halo 3 than your good to go. Just play the game now. If your disc is to scratch up to even be read. Than just a new game.

So pretty much, all your saying is, if you cant read the disk, install the game, and put the disk that doesnt work back in and if it doesnt work, get a new one? Why not just get a new one then instead of going through all that?

I did this last week for my GTA 4. Both my housemates have the game as well as I do. But my disk is scratched and cant get past loading screen, luckily it still recognises my disk as being GTA 4. So I just borrowed their disk and installed to hard drive.

You could also rent the game and do it that way.

Thats what I love about that feature though, because I can go to Blockbuster and play it forever >=D

If you have the legit disk though..It checks to make sure its in the drive but just doesnt read from it.

Also I only have the 20GB version, so I have a few demos and GTA 4 installed, only have 1.1GB left.

Buy the 60GB harddrive pack. Its only $100 bucks plus it comes with a mic that you could sell if you have one already and 3 months of xbl.

Heres something you can do, simply install the game to the hard drive, then when the game is in play, do the paperclip trick to quick eject the disk whilst its still in the drive, and you can play the game without it being in the box :)

Yes but 1. I dont want to f the disk up any more and 2 I dont really want to keep my Xbox on 24/7 just to be able to play the one game.
