I did some tweaking and came up with a way to play the two campains that aren't on the versus mode, DeathToll and Deadair.
Here is a link to to a rar file which contains 10 maps and 2 config files.
( dead air and death toll campgn on versus mode - also has other map files such as the .nav etc )

( note: config files are for the host to change maps, nothing else. )
They will not overwrite anything and they go in your
steam/steamapps/common/left4dead/left4dead/maps -- folder.
NOTE: Only people/servers who have this map pack can play with you or host a server with these maps.
So get some friends get this pack and play some versus on all the campaigns!
NOTE: make sure you put them into the steam/steamapps/common/left4dead/left4dead/maps - folder and nowhere else

First you need to extract the folder into your
steam/steamapps/common/left4dead/left4dead/maps - folder
once it is there open that folder up there will be 10 maps and about 10-20 more files related to those maps inside.
they need to be moved directly into
steam/steamapps/common/left4dead/left4dead/maps ----- the maps folder and not inside any other folder even sub folders that maybe inside your maps folder.
restart steam once they have been placed there.
IF YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER IT WILL END UP WITH A STRING TABLE ERROR UPON JOINING THE SERVER WITH THESE MAPS

Two config files were added in this pack one is called " change_to_deathtoll.cfg " and one is "change_to_deadair.cfg "
place both of these into the following filepath
steam/steamapps/common/left4dead/left4dead/cfg
If on a local server
open your console ( default ~ tilda key and you need to enable use of console in adv keyboard settings )
open console type no quotes " exec change_to_deadair "
( deadair level 1 )
or
open console type no quotes " exec change_to_deathtoll "
( deathtoll level 1 )
hit submit and watch the level change to the "versus" map of choice. make sure you have enough people to play versus. ( at least 2 )
Dedicated servers may use hlsw or other remote admin applications or in game admin to exec the config files or manually change maps.

Some people may see props, doors, cars, fans, objects may apear "white" because of some " HDR " missing file issue.
to fix this simply turn your "shader" in your video options to "med" setting and it works just fine.
when only one player is in the game it may just restart the round instead of loading a new map.
These maps are very fun and not "imbalanced" from what I have seen.
Another awesome note is the infected team can still climb up pipes, points just like in any other map ( some pipes don't have "claw" marks though but most do )
