Next gen modeling and texturing.
I stumbled on these tutorials earlier while doing my weekly scrounge of finding modeling tutorials.
This is what you will be learning to make.

Re: [Tutorial]Next gen modeling and texturing.
The texture and model could use some work. The metal just doesn't look realistic even if he was trying for the rubberized/sealant-painted-on-metal look. The blade also doesn't strike me as well made either. It looks used, but doesn't have any wear shown.
I dunno, just doesn't look right to me, as if it wasn't finished.

its just a basic tutorial.
if he were to make a full AAA-quality asset, he'd have a WAAAY l too big tutorial, and it wouldnt be much of a tutorial video, but a look at me work video.

When's the lst time you saw a stainless steel blade scratch on a pocket knife? And the thing could look used, but usually when a knife is clipped to your belt or in your pocket the blade is sheathed.
It looks fine. There is Real looking, and Surreal looking... if you want the later add more bloom. :eng101:

I'd rather see these models then extruded boxes. Either way thats 2 completely different things. This could come in handy one day, I'm bookmarking it :)
