Need some default sound files

CM10 changes some sound files into shit, and I would love the default sounds back.

I tried gcfscape, but the sound files are no where to be seen.

all I need is the original

revolver
shotgun
pistol
grenade
and rocket sounds

Are you kidding about the revolver? I dunno what it does to it in CM10, but in CM3 it sounds straight up awesome. "KAPOW!" Much more badass than that wimpy "bang." (with the period) in the stock game. Same goes for the shotgun. Advice to you? Go find some good modded CS:S sounds and replace the ones that came with CM10 with them...simple rename does the trick.

well that wouldn't be the default half life 2 sound then...and that would be pointless.

They should be in your source sounds.gcf (I just checked my own, all the sounds are there)

Not entirely pointless. But whatever floats your boat. CM is a separate application from Half-Life 2 and as such is also a separate folder. Just do what Ifafudafi said and transpose the files from Half-Life 2 sounds into the FakeFactory folder.

Yeh, I tried that but I was looking in hl2, ep2, and ep1, but I guess its not there lol.

Well i want some default sound files because i formatted my computer and now i am not able to hear sound properly. So i need some default sound files that can give me the better sounds.
