New Sounds in H2V
H2MT R&D
TwinReaper of the Halo 2 Mapping Team, discovered that Halo CE .sound files are compatible with the H2EK.
A HCE .sound file needs to be copied into the H2V tags directory structure. Then be referenced, from a weapon for example. Simple as that.

+ Many weapon sound files have already been integrated into H2V
- Dialogue files are reported as not functional
-----------------------------------------------
The Unlocked H2EK Guerilla Done.exe can be used be used to view these CE .sound files. It can also be used to play them, but at this time we suspect that only Windows XP supports this feature or there is a missing .dll file or sound plug-in that used to be more common.

Re: New Sounds in H2V
Really good find. Means I don't have to finish my sound converter code and reverse engineering on how it upgrades old sound data :d
Also, put the following into a "bin" folder in your H2EK install dir

Re: New Sounds in H2V
TY for that XBADPCM file Korn, it works very well after installing it.
While I cannot listen to all sound files in H2V, I can still rely on trusty HCE Guerilla for previewing any future incoming sounds...so its not a big deal.
OS: Vista 32-bit for anyone interested
