Having trouble starting up Steam

So I basically have to restart my computer so I don't get this but that's annoying. I just got Garry's Mod today and I'm having problems just getting it started. "SteamStartup()failed: SteamStartup(0xf , 0x0012E5BC) failed with error 1: failed to take master pipe connection lock"

Can anyone help me? I just got it today.

(if you have an extra steam.dll in your Steam folder, delete it maybe?)
