Having a couple problems with textures and addons
Some of the addons I download are starting to have missing textures and I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing or if it's the person who made it forgot to add textures.
Most annoyingly; almost all of the addons I download now aren't even showing up in Gmod and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I use WinRAR and I've been extracting the files to C:/ProgramFiles/Steam/Steam/steamapps/"myusername"/garrysmod/garrysmod/addons
Can anyone help me and maybe give me some tips as well? It would be much appreciated.

Backup your addons and reinstall Gmod as in delete the entire folder in steamapps/"username" and let steam extract the files from the GCF file.
Post an Addon that has missing textures and I will test it out here to see if it is the addon.

sometimes the textures are missing from the download itself, other times you need to drop the materials and models files and merge them with the ones in the Garrysmod/garrysmod folder
