There was another thread about it, but the last post was from 2009. I don't want to dig it from the grave.
Who has it? What system? Opinions?
I have it for PC, played about 7 hours now. My thoughts:
- Challenges NEED to be done before you get to a high level, or they're hard as hell to beat.
- The idea is great. I like it.
- In Free Play, the only way to have fun is to find a dedicated server. If you find a good one, you can play for hours (need good, not stacked teams too).
- Customization is interesting
- There isn't much to customize on every weapon, but what you do customize does help on the field.
- Appearance is cool, lots of different styles of everything.
- Body types:
- Currently I am using the light body type. Seems to be working out nicely.
- Medium is what you start out with, you can take a fair amount of damage, and parkour everything you need to.
- Heavy is a bullet sponge (so my friend says, and the empty ammo clips on the ground). You can't parkour things, which really helps in battle. Use heavy for medic, any other class is bad with it.
- The bugs:
- there's a map you play on, and it kills the in-game sound completely. I still played alright, but it really screws you up when you can't hear shit around you.
- Frames Per Second. Seriously, i'm getting shit FPS most of the time in multiplayer (and my rig shouldn't do that, at all). Disabling shadows, and installing the newest drivers helped a little bit, but my ATI 5870 is dogging it sometimes.
- Bots. Oh, how I hate joining a dedicated server, only to find that i'm the only REAL person on it.
- Haven't played the campaign, but I heard it was just like MP but with bots.
That's about it for now.
