I was hoping to see that MS cut that fucking BS out about the new Kinect modeling costing more due to them "porting" it to the PC. Nope. Still going to cost 250 fucking USD. And they're not letting the official PC SDK (non-Beta) for it work with the old model either.
rofl nobody's going to get kinect for PC.
it was a fucking gimmick for consoles, and i REALLY can't see it appealing to anyone who aren't fucking console-fags
okay, maybe a few developers who love to play arond with shit like that for shits and giggles.
wether it be useful or not.
also, i can forsee someone making a reasonable 3d scanner out of it.

Did MS stop for a moment and think "what use would this have on a PC"?
I think not, because there isn't any.
You guys are really ignorant.
Isn't it for some business class bullshit that other products do better for not $250US?
It's to fight childhood obesity in PC gamers. :iamafag:
Just think, "Starcraft now kinect only".
All those poor poor Asians.
^ id weep for them and their double digit APMs.
also, didnt the old kinect work on the pc anyway? i know youd need some middleware to get it to function as a controller, but its not like it didnt work at all. how is this any different?
@neuro: some guys at MIT made a robot that uses a kinect to drive around and make 3d models of rooms, and theres a thread on this site somewhere about using the kinect as a cheap motion capture device. id get one just for the latter.
