help. very laggy multiplayer

Alright so when i play h2vista online i experience a few small lags. But most of the time it starts laggin small then i lose connection and it has to resetup the match and as soon as i get back it plays for 2 min then kicks me again always around 1 to 2 min of semi laggy play.edit(the nubmer of min decreases each time yes my ping rate jumps rapidly arounds the bar on the view carnage screen ingame. this is very hard to work with and half the time when i try to join a game it says you are unable to game or somthing. my specs are up to date and it is not poor framrate i have a nvidia geforce 8600 gtx so i dont experience this in singleplayer so it is deffinatley a lag. i need to know how to fix both of these problems fast.Edit(it used to really lag but then i got vis anti lag so now its smaller lags

I assume you don't have this problem with other games?

I think you mean 8600GTS. Who's your network provider?

Personally, I think you should get a longass ethernet cable and stop using the wireless feature. There is a palpable difference, trust me. Don't ask me how it works, though, something to do with packet loss. I think air isn't the most stable connection.

same here, I got tired of the wireless and went back to the cable. The wireless doesn't get the same amount of connection as the wire, unless you're RIGHT next to the router or whatever it connects to.

,also exiting aim,msn,yahoo and various pron helps boost proformance.

I hate how when the server exceeds 8 people the ugly scripted death poses appear. Was this in Halo 2 Xbox?

Wireless is limited to 54mbps (on laptops, that is - I don't know how it is on desktops). It's fine for surfing the internet but for online gaming an actual cable is much better (you get at least 100 mbps)
