Widescreen (1600x1000) help
As some of you already know, H2V doesn't have any resolution past 1280x960 or something like that, how can i push up the resolution to 1600x1000 and still maintain the 16:10 ratio? I did a search on this forum, but a lot of people are still confused on what command to put behind the target line. Please, if anyone knows tell me. So far, all i found is add "...h2vista.exe" -vidmode 1600,1000
but many said it doesn't work since that was for halo 1, and then someone said you are suppose to add the refreash rate...etc etc. So can anyone give me a straight answer?
Re: Widescreen (1600x1000) help
It doesn't go past 1920x1200. And -vidmode doesn't work, so don't bother trying.
Re: Widescreen (1600x1000) help
You're looking for 1680x1050, which is 16:10. Its the common resolution on most 20-22" LCDs, and H2V supports it.
Also, H2V supports up to 1920x1200, and possibly 2560x1600. 1440x900 is not in there though...
Re: Widescreen (1600x1000) help
Then how come i can't see it in my H2V options menu, the highest it has is 1280x960 and my laptop native screen goes up to 1920x1200. I just currently run on 1600x1000 for my desktop. Anyway, my video card does support that high res, it can run H2V on high settings- its the 7900GS. I have tried a lot of video drivers and they all won't let me get past 1280x960.
Re: Widescreen (1600x1000) help
Try setting your desktop to native res and see if the other resolutions show up then.
Re: Widescreen (1600x1000) help
ok i got it to 1680x1050 because i was stupid i didn't press down to scroll through the othes resolutions haha. Anyway, I'm getting some weird jitters after i set that resolution. The screen, both the UI screen and the game, you could basically see the refreash rate which puzzles me because it is set to 60 hz. When its at 1280x960 it was fine.
Re: Widescreen (1600x1000) help
whenever i put it on 1000x800, i get a wierd type of lag
I have an ATI X1400 and 1 gig of ram... any suggestions? maybe 1.5 Gigs of ram will help?
Re: Widescreen (1600x1000) help
Killa, vista itself takes up quite a bit of ram. Try upgrading to around 2 gigs if you want fairly well playability.
