I found out how to make H2v a little faster.
So, Halo PC and CE have this thing fo running the game in a window. It makes framerate better unlike fullscreen which is ok. In the command line parameter you have to type -window.
In H2V you need a lot of requirements to play the game. Many people have problems with H2V cause of the requirements and it runs slow on the pc. There is a way to make framerate better for H2V by typing -windowed in the commandline parameter in the preperties window. It helped me out cause I have very low RAM. I have 446 mb RAM which is slow. Windowed H2v is good but bad in some ways. You can have less FOV which is Field of View.
Trust me this can make h2v a little faster................(I'm so sad my game is incredibly slow:()
Re: I found out how to make H2v a little faster.
sigh.
i'll keep it at that.
Re: I found out how to make H2v a little faster.
In reality, you'll have more FOV when going windowed if you use widescreen.
Comparision
I took both pictures standing in the same exact position. The one on the left was taken in a 1280 x 720 16:9 aspect ratio. The one on the right was taken in a 1280 x 1024 5:4 aspect ratio.
As you can see if you use widescreen on Halo 2, it vastly increases your field of view, giving you a huge edge in combat online. (that or you can use the FOV hack)

Cool I didn't know that thanks!

Neither windowed or fullscreen increase your performance. Even when it's in fullscreen your computer is processing all the background information, but as fullscreen is just taking up your whole screen you notice it's fallouts more than where it shines.
Fullscreen/windowed variants do not increase/decrease FOV, the only way to achieve a different FOV that came stock with the game is the choice of a widescreen resolution or a fullscreen. Something that's been made by users would be something like Skyline's FOV modifier.

So much fail in that sentence

FoV /= Resolution

Notice how I said if you were using a widescreen resolution. Maybe you should try thinking.
Re: I found out how to make H2v a little faster.
Um, isnt there an option in the video settings in game to allow windowed mode? Because thats what I use, and I DO get better performance, why? Because I put the game at 800 x 600, windowed mode things dont look at jaggy, however 800 x 600 mode in fullscreen STRETCHES the screen to 1280 x 1024 which gives jaggy edges and lowers FPS a little.
Re: I found out how to make H2v a little faster.
There is already a window mode option in the options. This is...unthinkable.
