"Message of the day" ...

Hi,

I was bored to see the "Manual Update Required! Get it from http://www.microsoft.com/games/halo/downloads.asp" message on my halo CE, so I searched how to replace it by a new thing. And I found how.

I think that would be cool if we create a comunity message of the day, that anouce new maps and stuff, and can be up to date.

Anyone up with this ? :p

hmmm,on halo ce it sometimes says "welcome to halo multiplayer!"

It's probaly possible to edit the .exe and change the url that shows the .txt? :D

To do this, you would have to ask Bungie if you can put more comments in their site directory like those ones. Or edit everyone's exe so it is directed to a different site and directory.

Yeah, I know that we need to ask bungie if we can edit their files... I don't think they still care about what we're doing on haloPC. :eyesroll:

well then, maybe some one should start asking them if some of us can keep the Halo PC and CE messages up-to-date for them.
