Having a revamp of the original ring in space is pretty bad ass. I'd accept that as a placeholder till the final version gets done. ;D Honestly, any sort of release would be awesome.

For the SPV1 UI, Zeph did a new multi map set for the rind, looked really nice. I can send it to you if you want. Also, Lag rebuilt the T&R's top section, if you wanted to use it in the sky BSP, along with the Halo ring, you could probably make a really sweet UI with the sexified Halo ring, the sky edited to be like real blackness with stars, none of the purple blue hue, and cruisers in the background. What CMT has is free for you to use in the UI if you wish.
already fixed the shinyness, and cruisers would ruin it. Too hard to implement with size differences.
You couldn't make mini crusers to hover over the ring/fly around it in random places?
And don't make it pitch black with white dots like the SPV1 UI. That shit was fucking ugly. :gonk:
There's a good reason all space sims have fucksex:aaaaa: skys. They look awesome.
The only thing that can animate in a UI is textures, so nothing can move (ships, bipeds etc). If there were ships they'd be in one place :\
Perhaps the ships could be much higher above the ring and the camera passes closer to them?

I really like how it is right now :o The Halo in black space is just so cool and mysterious. Like the original UI, but much more BADASS!
You could put high charity somewhere in the background in space... doesn't exactly fit the story tho heh.
E: Or just put the POA in there somewheres, model or bitmap in the background... itd be hella sick if when it first started it could show life pods entering the rings atmosphere somehow haha, I never knew uis could only use animated textures/shaders.
