WC3 isn't that bad. I mod it from time to time but the only thing I do is mess around with DotA's 6.41 version and make new shit for my friends and I to play at lan parties. DotA is absolutely nothing like an rts so don't think it is anything near the same as normal warcraft. It's more like a single character per player battle arena where you build up your character RPG style.

Tell me Noobinator, Have you ever actually played DotA? Or are you just assuming this because DotA is played on like 40% of all WC3 games and MUST have some relation to how terrible you think WC3 is. If you've never played it then you wouldn't have much of an idea. If you have then you're entitled to your "opinions" as am I. It's not an rts but it's still a game of strategy. I'd rather not go into detail as this post would be paragraphs long.

Played WC3, played DotA, glad I never payed for any of it.

Maybe you'd like to try out my new characters and items I've been working on lately. Since it's a modded DotA 6.41 it's unable to be played on battlenet now that they removed the return bug error. But if you install a version 1.23 patch you can play it on LAN. I've recreated just about all the items it lacked compared to the newest ones and I've made a few new ones as well. I still need to finish Shiva's Guard and see if I can finish the last ability on bloodstone. These aren't noobish items or characters either. A lot of work went into balancing them and making their abilities look and work awesomely and accurately. So far there's only 2 new characters and I'm finishing up the second. One's a disabler and the other's an extreme ganker.
