You can't get into Caspian border on consoles. The passwords for the PC servers got leaked so those are being overloaded. I think it's good that they password got leaked and the public got to test the map. That way they get some proper stress of the servers and gametype. I did hear rumors of it being opened up to us later, though.
Anyone know what Zh1nt0's "big announcement" was?
EDIT: I think the announcement was that Russian language was added to the Battlelog forums. That's even worse than getting a search function.
Got like 5 games in of Caspian Border. It's fucking amazing. Recorded all the times I played :3
WHY ISN'T IT HAPPENING MODACITY. WHY DON'T I HAVE BETA!?!
ExAm I WILL have your blood. >__>
I've been watching some footage and am worried about how much of a pixel hunt this game is going to be. I liked Battlefield when you could walk around feeling pretty safe and had the choice of whether to engage or disengage from most fights. You weren't getting dropped by unseen snipers when you took a half step into the open.
I guess I'll just have to try the beta and see how it goes.
caspian is buggy as fuck and just crashed for me :(
I found Caspian Border really laggy/glitchy. You know when you get in a passenger/gunner seat in a jeep on BFBC2? It's like that, except just when you're running around. The terrain collision really needs work, I don't feel smooth when running around at all.
I guess it's a modern-era BF thing, because I felt safe in '43. Maybe that was because I was in a tank half the time and already familiar with the maps.
BF2 didn't really click with me, but I don't remember feeling too pinned down. If I was repeatedly getting mowed down, I'd make sure to secure a vehicle. Which is an option unavailable on some BF3 maps, it frustratingly seems.
