You know. Halo 2 Vista pisses me the fuck off GRRGGG >: (
Well, the good news is is that Micro$oft will realize how big of a colossal failure H2V was and hopefully make Halo 3 for the PC as a reconciliation and much better than H2V or even HCE ever were. H2V has so much wasted potential to it. I hate it when companies (mainly publishers) focus on what multiplayer online experience IS instead of what could be MADE out of the multiplayer online experience by the users. What do I mean by experience? That totally depends on what experience you're being "cheated" on, such as what was mentioned in the article.
I've heard too much negativity from H2V from a lot of people and already declared it being on Vista to be an absolutely waste or loss of point. It could have easily ran on XP (hell if GoW can) and H2's graphics weren't even anywhere near that good. Sure, they are juicier than the Xbox's graphics, but what difference does that make that the "filter" is a bit darker than on Xbox. EVERYTHING looks better in a darker "filter" than it does in a lighter one. Now, if they made it with FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE settings and FULLY CUSTOMIZABLE HEK, then that would easily overcome the graphics and maybe the need to waste another $150 on Vista. The fact is, like Halo3 (even though Halo3 is awesome), H2V was just another pawn in the Micro$oft marketing campaign. Since H3 on 360 is offtopic, I won't go into that, but H2V was pretty much just a lure for people to buy Vista to play the nuked Xbox classic. Microsoft has officially failed as a publisher for games with even more recent news of copying the Wii's retarded avatar system. Like everything Microsoft has touched, future UI's will be called "user friendly," but in the end will be just as confusing as the meaning itself.
At least H2V has some good features going for it, like a basic HEK and map making system (which really doesn't matter due to needing to have a bloody expensive modeling program), but it is completely nuked by the fact that MS didn't allow more to be done with it. Why should a release date influence there release of a remake of a game, especially for the generally accepting audience of PC gamers? Why couldn't Microsoft hire Gear Box and Gamespy to take care of the server and HEK? Why do I see a constant decline in the use classic Microsoft themes? There is update and there is downgrade. I believe H2V was downgraded from HCE. Of course, this is what I have heard and gathered through observation. I don't own H2V because of Vista. Either way, this is really a huge argument against MS and how the once good publisher has turned corrupt with their desire for money and deception. I hate it when good things go to waste.
tldr version:
I feel bad that he wasted all his time typing that out when nobody cares :|Quote:
