That's one thing I really like about wings. Other apps insitst on chopping your screen into tons of tiny pieces for each viewport. But, in wings, the viewport has many purpose.

Obviously you're too close-minded to try other programs, for example Maya, which I use, has this feature called the view compass which you click on to rapidly change views, it also has some nice little eye candy - the transition is animated.
