Goddamn, I thought I whored that thing. It's honestly my most used weapon. I just unlocked 12 Gauge Slugs and the rifle scope. This thing makes the BC2 shotguns look like goddamn pussies. I fucking love it.

I have 700+ with the Mk11 only using Iron sights or Holo >_< (scopes are gay on snipers >.>) Also I just unlocked the M98 and noticed that the M39 isn't there D: anyone know if it's just not in the beta? or just bugged

It's not in the beta. People have enough points to have unlocked it twice over and still it's not available. That is sad since the M14 is the weapon I'm most interested about in the entire game and it'll be the one I try to unlock most quickly...which means I'll be playing Recon exclusively on launch...ugh.

At the moment, I think they are more focused on attempting to emulate the EA backend than releasing the server to everyone. If they release it, EA will take them down by tomorrow, and there would be no chance at privately researching the communications of a functional server. If they figure out how to get the serve running, I bet they will be able to easily force the client to join the server, even after the beta is over.

Would it still use the battlelog? Or could we connect by IP and go undetected by EA?

Again, this is only my guess based on my observations of how the game works...

If you think about Battlelog, despite how much I HATE joining games from my web browser, it may be useful for joining "unofficial" servers. The problem with most in-game server browsers is that they don't have a method of directly connecting to a server from outside the game, so if you aren't listed on the official list, it's impossible to join. But with Battlelog, the only way to join a server is from outside the game... Battlelog has to have some way of launching the game and joining a server directly, without an in-game browser. If they play their cards right, they should be able to create their own "fake" Battlelog (entirely separate from EA's authentication and server list) that establishes the connection to the server and lets you join.
