I tried to join a server like 20 minutes ago, and got a weird error that said something like "Disconnected unexpectedly. Is your game up to date?" or something like that. So I went to Origin, right-clicked BF3 Beta, checked for updates, and now this is happening:

Did you download the game originally with a torrent? Because the same thing happened to me, but it's just redownloading the game. It isn't an update.
I originally downloaded it through Origin. Whatevs, it's done now.
i just checked for updates and it tried to re download the entire game again too.
i looked in my games folder and its downloading it to a a folder called "Battlefield 3 Beta", whereas the early access beta was in a folder named "Battlefield 3 Open Beta".
just rename the old folder to the new one so you don't have to re download and have 2 3+ GB folders.
When I right click the BF3 beta, I don't even have the option to check for updates... :confused:
Wow you're right, I now have 2 copies of BF3 Beta on my computer. Cool.

My game is fine still, was no update needed that I can tell... Also, you guys need to stop complaining about a measly 3.9GB update for A BETA. 3.9GB is incredibly small, SW:TOR updates are usually 5GB+ at least, new builds require an entire re-download (20GB+).
Do you guys know if they are going to add a proper squad selection menu ingame?
