Well advancebo wants me to make a h3 shade turret. So far it's taken me almost 6 hours to make tho I owe a lot of that to how hard it is to tell how parts are shaped. Refrences don't get good enough angles and the damn thing is too shiny :-/. It's blurring shit together D-: anyway, enough of my bitching, I'll update this when it's done.

Though the base of it should look a bit shorter, or wider. And the main hull of it a little larger, also. Looks off proportions from the base to the hull.
Either way, nice job! I've been waiting to see it.

I've been looking through all the references quite a few times to try and get it to look right. there are a few things i needed to fix such as the connector things for the side panels, the horn on the base, and shrink the guns. This turret's design is severely annoying >_>

I felt like posting this just cuz. I had to draw something incorporating certain design elements but from a still life. So I had Donut pose for me :-D Hope you all like it.

camera really takes away from the smoothing and all other kinds of details I put in it like fabric lines. My equipment sux and my scanner whites out any light details. :-(

Holy Crap I need to dust this thread off. Anyway, thought I'd post something I've been working on for a little bit that I just finished the high poly model for. I'm going to make a lower poly model at around 5000-6000 tris, bake a normal map and ambient occlusion for it from this, and texture it. When I'm done I'm going to post the resources here. Except for the high poly model. That's my proof I made it.

Reach's Magnum is the only Reach weapon concept I can actually say I like.

The level of detail is nice, and I know in Reach the grip is very square, but you said it yourself, "concept". Take their design and put your own spin on it. Beef the grip up a little and make it look more ergonomic or something. Get some other shapes in there besides boxes with chamfered edges. Right now it looks meh. Take some modern day aspects (like current laser sights and such) and use aspects of those to make theirs more appealing.

I also believe I told you that I have zero capacity to concept. I'm being totally serious. I suck ass at concepting forms. I'm pretty god with concepting other things though such as systems for weapons, vehicles, code, etc. I've tried though to concept. It takes so long for me to that's not even worth it to and I have never gotten anything good out of it. When I say it takes a long time I mean I was stuck on the same new MJOLNIR concept for like 6 months. So yea, I DO NOT concept. Besides, I was asked to model this just as it is in Reach. And I will.
