Wow, awesome new pics. Just 2 questions:
1) Whats with the wraiths front guns? They look like they were just slapped on there.
2) Do you plan on fixing the iling of the sand bitmap on the last pic? Or is it unnoticable when your playing?

Regarding the second question its generally unoticable while playing. I mean the grass in Blood Gulch does the same thing.

For those of you woried if you can run it or not, iif oyu play on easy/normal, there is half the amount of guys there. And it's a real tough fight. First you have to avoid the wriaths and destroy them, then you have to deal with the turret, then spec op elites guarding the turret. There is a phalanx of jackals off to teh side, those are dealt with easily now that AI can throw nades. After htat the grunts 10-20 of them attack with grenades and PP's. Then you're left fighting about 6 brutes with brute shots and 8 elites with needlers.

Wow, if something like this is epic NOW, how is the fight for the banshee's in Two Betrayels gonna be? That part was epic before any mods.

It's totaly differn't. if we could ge teh scripts from zteam you'd be seeing parts of the game with like 3 marines in tanks fighting squads of 12-24 banshees.

Anyway, I was wondering, if the PR is really just going to be the same as the MPv2 ones with a different skin. I ask this because the multiplayer one (as well as the SPv1 one) covered WAY too much of the screen.
And are the allies any smart at throwing grenades? And are they going to do it every 5 seconds liked they did with the BRG? (it is the same trigger right?) Because if they are just as dumb, this might turn out even worse than the BRG tking we see now. Imagine, getting naded by 3 different marines 50 yards back as you decide to rush the enemy lines alone.

does that mean that bruteshots are going to be common? theyre one of my favorite weapons and i really do hope to use it frequently.
edit: delta i believe masterz said that the allys will still use the brg grenades, because he doesnt consider it a nuisance. i can see myselg assasinating a lot of my own team mates... THEY AINT GON' BE SHOOTIN MY ASS AN BE LIVIN TOO LONG!

The only time Allies use the BRG is on b40 right now. AI settings for secondary trigger and nades are totaly differnt. With Secondary trigger you basicly can tell them when to shoot, and how often. With grenades you can tell them how many hostiles are in the radius of where they will throw if they will throw, and you can make them not throw if there is a friendly unit in the blast radius.
Right now, elites and humans will not throw if there is a friendly unit within 1/2 of a world unit, but that doesn't mean you cant be blown up. If they are killed or hurt badly while in mid throw, obviously that nade will go in a differn't direction. rutes in our mod don't care if there is a friendly in the area, which makes them all the more unpredictable.

heh, i probably know the answer to this, but will flood be able to throw grenades? it always confused me, why would they carry grenades around but not throw them? and if they have bruteshots/flamethrowes, have their thirdperson animations been resolved so they dont hold them one handed, aiming them at the sky? that would be really great if they have. furthermore, can the flood use handheld turrets, or spartan lasers? that would really light up the library (multiple meanings implied). also, flood driving ghosts, hogs, wraiths and scorpions would be really cool for two betrayals. possibly even duel wielding flood? though i guess with one arm completely tentaclized its not likely.

The AR looks too fat and it isn't that great looking, ignoring the textures. Also, it isn't pointing to the middle of the screen, it's pointed downwards. Oh and for god sakes could you please make the pictures jpg's next time?

I think they're trying to put it in a similar position to the H3 AR, which is pointed a bit downward due to the position of the reticle in the game (a bit lower than normal). It's also enraged many a Halo fan that the reticle is so low, but I think it's good :/

Theres rumors around flood folks are going to drive hogs. Ive seen plenty of sp maps wich tried to make ai drive hogs properly - most of them failed. they drove like they were drunk or a 10 year old who needs a bunch of his midget friends to brake and hit the gas when he tells them.
But honestly i dont think flood ppl have to drive skillfully. I mean they are zombies all they want is kill you and- reffering to "dawn of the dead" you should be happy their even running at you and use weapons.

You guys are totally out-doing yourselves. Those pictures are great looking. One of the greatest things you guys have done for Halo SP is making that beach head assault like a real battle. Its one thing to go traipsing through a level sneaking around undetected with an enemy that isnt expecting you. But its another thing entirely to encounter an obviously fortified position that is expecting a strong assault. That is what I always felt that TSC should have going for it in the beginning is a real STRUGGLE to take that beach. The original is pretty weak. This is going to take it to a whole new level. I just cant wait to give that thing a whirl.

Maybe the Covenant didn't have time to fortify it by the time the humans had gotten there.
Besides, sneaking through The Silent Cartographer is harder than assaulting it.
Aside, the level looks great. I can't really make any complaints other than the water is a bit unrealistically blue.

The AR only has four FP-noticeable problems:
- the comb doesn't taper as immediately as it should; in H3 it has the same proportions as in H1.
- the front of the carapace isn't supposed to turn inwards roundly, in H3 it's just a simple indented angle as it is in H1; however, that same part of the weapon (or an inch or two behind that) is where it is supposed to have a gradually rounded bump (parallel to the barrel) even though yours abruptly drops down.
- on the other hand, the bottom of the rim of the display screen looks too much like H1's; it's supposed to round inward where the corners are in H3.
- the top of the assault rifle (between the carapace and the comb) is also too similar to H1's, while in H3 is has a much different form.

Well it is custum map team. At first, I didn't really like the AR from just the pictures also. But hey, anything is better than cmt's first AR with the red LCD. Even bungie's original AR is better than that in my eyes... I already got flamed at by D4no or how ever you spell his name by saying this.

But it is the MA5C Assault Rifle. Custom just means they create the content personally.
I'm sure there are more people on CMT than just Dane that want their content to be definitively genuine.

not at all. accurate to the real thing isnt always the best, i mean you like to play halo (or you wouldnt be here) and halo's combat style is far from realistic. i mean you can get shot umpteen times in halo 2 and live because you waited ten seconds to let your shield recharge. in the real world you get shot once and your dead, but would that be fun in the game? NO. it is basically the same principal (principal? principle? i cant think how to spell it for this meaning) to apply the realism to life instead of halo 3.

Actually, judging by the MJOLNIR armor's make-up, he could take several hits with his shields down and live. Whether or not said shields would still function aafter getting hit is a different matter all together though.

Depends on who your allies are. If they're marines, don't count on it (but since when have you ever been able to count on Marines in Halo on Legendary?) Other than that, I don't know.

Yes it would! I would totally have them carry around spare weapons for me! I'm in command here! I get to boss them around! Seriously, how useful would it be if you have them carry around one of each weapon for you and you could just swap out weapons at any time? Just imagine that.
Anyways, I doubt the marines will do that well on legendary this time, especially with all the enemies running around.

Just saw CAD's vid of the bubble shield and was wondering...but knowing that it wont be in spv2 right? And btw CAD, its hideous but I like that you got the walk through it problem to work. Was it the whole biped trick thingy? And also, I dont see where the prophets would fit in the h1 story...maybe in the mysterious Completely new CMT single player level....

Those shaders were completely stand-in; the purpose of the video was to showcase the functions of the bubble shield. Rest assured new ones were made shortly after. :eyesroll:

But wait... There's ANOTHER campaign level? For a total of 11? How did you guys figure out how to manipulate the system so it plays the levels in a different order?
Or did you simply get the scripts for the map before it and add it in there?

I gotta ask about the bruteshot, will it be like zteams in coagulation? Because that one worked perfect with the reticle.(FYI the grenade is supposed to go where the last bottom part of the reticle is. So you can basicly snipe a moving target if u didnt know that).:neckbeard:

Since the projectiles look nothing like the Halo 2 ones, I'm guessing that no, the Brute Shot is not like ZTeam's. (the projectile exploding is in some of the pictures on the first page)

Before it goes 7 pages back, what's this "Secret Campaign Level"? How are you going to make it without the voices of MC or Cortana? How are you going to modify EVERY UI to add in the level?

Can you use a modified version of the Delta Halo UI as the official CMT UI? The old one, well, no offense, but it sucked.

At one point a custom level was in the works (it was revealed during the Christmas update). What's going on with it now, I don't know.

Yeah, again, I could be very wrong. I happen to be alot. I was always worried about the whole voice thing...maybe a level where MC's connections get cut off or his helmet is lost so he cant hear Cortana...and since they cant show his face he wont talk much. But they may have dropped it. Like maybe a one where you have to snipe drones while a triage team helps some injured marines lol.

They could always do it through HUD text, like Minerva was done for HL2.

But that always sucks....I hate text scenes in games.....I say its better to drop it but if they can pull it out go ahead....tis like a first date.

Guys, i think you guys are getting Zteams work mixed up with CMT's work. CtrlAltDestroy is NOT a part of CMT anymore, as far as i know. CMT does not have access to the SP scripts (c'mod CAD, share the wealth. Please?), and:
Jay2645: CMT is making there own UI, as is Zteam.
Dole: Due to the lack of CMT updates on that, im pretty sure its been dropped.
Masterz1337: What did you mean when you said that "We'll have them before we decide to release though."?

Ugh, why won't CAD give CMT the scripts?!?! Why?! Ok I'm done, sorry.
Boy, we'll get 3 new campaigns to play with! (2 for those who can't buy halo 3); CMT's campaign, z-team's campaign (CAD said they're aiming for a release before halo 3), and the halo 3 campaign! Hooha.

i havent seen anything on zmt's campaign, if theyre going to finish BEFORE halo 3, then it must be mostly done. do they just surprise the public with their content, unlike cmt?

CAD wants them "private". He said there are only 4 beta-testers including himself, so yeah, I guess they keep it pretty tight.
