To clarify, this is how I fly jets:
Some nice flying there, my chopper escapades usually end within 30 second of takeoff, in an explosion of AA fire and Stingers.
Hey I need some help here, I'm debating on upgrading my graphics card for a bit of a performance boost. Right now I'm running on a GTX 460, I'm able to play the game fine on high settings at a solid 30 FPS or so. However, I'm noticing some dips in performance when walking around in heavily vegetated areas or when in the midst of a lot of effects during a fire fight. Of course me being the graphics whore I am, turning down my settings is not an option for me. I was looking at picking myself up a GTX 560 Ti to give the game that extra oomph. Now, I'm just curious, do any of you think it will improve the overall experience enough to warrant the upgrade?
Another 460 in SLI will give you WAAAAY better performance than a single GTX 560 Ti.
In that jets video of mine I was on High settings while recording Fraps at 60 FPS running 1920x1200. I don't play on Ultra since it doesn't seem to give any graphical boost, yet it runs at 10 FPS or so lower than High... That's with two GTX 470's in SLI, without Fraps I usually get 80 - 110 FPS on High settings, GTX 460's would get at least 60 - 80 and probably better.
Also; Here's a couple videos of F2000 gameplay on Operation Metro that I uploaded:
It's one complete game in two parts.
Your team mates are retarded. Also why would you approach the front of the escalators, thats suicide. I normally run around the back with the 870 when they're all clustered like that. You did very well, there were a lot of derpy deaths but then again when are there not in battlefield.
-sigh- I really want this for PC damnit.
My motto: never ever SLI/Crossfire, unless you have a graphics card duplicating machine that runs on love and is operated by pennies. That rule is right up there with "Never buy the extended service plan" for me. You will be wealthier and happier over the course of your life the sooner you put it into effect.
If you really can't tolerate lowered settings, then I suggest going ahead with the single-card upgrade and selling off your current card to recoup some of the cost. Just make sure that card has the oomph you;re looking for. I can't speak on that.

So beta is closed sadly :(, I was owning it up as chopper gunner for some guy who was fantastic at flying, did take some videos but not sure if I'll upload.
I feel flares are too overpowered in jets, once a jet has flares and heatseekers they are super hard to take out, and they own any jets trying to take them out.
Had an absolute blast with the beta despite it's obvious flaws.
I absolutely love planting C4 on jeeps and running them into tanks/mobile AA, I did this for about 2 games right before the beta ended. I managed to capture some rad footage through fraps as well.
I'm not sure if anybody can answer this or not, but would recording onto a solid state hard drive be easier for recording from fraps? Hopefully it would eliminate the frame drops.
I really hope admins can customize servers to every little detail, like weapon damage, enable/disable 3d spotting/vehicle regen, etc. I'd love to emulate BF 2 on the Karkand expansion.
Always record your fraps videos onto a different hard drive than your OS/BF3 install. If your secondary hard drive is a solid state drive then fantastic, it should help tremendously. If you only have 1 HDD and its solid state drive it will help a little bit more than just having 1 regular HDD.
