Iron's symbol is Fe, and things containing iron are said to be ferrous (from the French word for iron, fer, unless I'm much mistaken)

I stealthily drew that on the board at the end of Chemistry class a few times. Sadly it's always erased by the next day. :smith:

Technically it's a latin root (which means you were wrong and right, considering that french is a romance language[derived from latin(here's another set of parenthesis)]) so you were both right and mistaken.
