Lol, awesome place for a fire extinguisher bro.
What kind of labtop is that?
Forget the laptop, what's that wallpaper?
Man that plant looks healthy! What kind of dirt and water did you use?
Maybe it's hollowed out to be a fleshlight? That's a good place for one until a fire pops up
;D
You cannot ignore his girth.

I can't find the wallpaper, but I can upload mine if you want. I have over 20
Also, will be getting a 32" lcd as my secondary soon.

Neat, still not worth it imo until the prices drop and the capacities go up.
Only cost me $299, and larger capacity than the drive it replaced (150 GB RaptorX)
;)
Well, my OS/Programs drives need to be about 300GB to hold all of the essentials I install. I was thinking of getting 2x300GB VelociRaptors but I think I'm just going to save up and wait until SSD's drop in price and the TRIM support is stabilized a little.
Nice drive though, and I like your case interior design!
How are you liking the G500 ghost? I was looking at that one just the other day actually, still using a $10 mouse.
It's a great mouse imo, I was able to test one out for about a week when I was doing a computer accessory review as a project for school. I actually contacted Logitech and asked if they could lend me one for the duration of my project, and they actually sent me one with a pre-paid return box and everything. At the time I was using a Logitech MX 518 as my primary mouse, they were extremely similar but the G500 had some better features... Laser instead of the optical on my 518, Adjustable weight, and the "hyper-scrolling" feature that most new Logitech mice have. The programmable macro settings and such were neat to play with as well.
It's an awesome mouse, I highly recommend it if you're looking for a wired high-end gaming mouse and you don't want to spend the cash on a G9 or G9x.
I like it. I originally had a G5 and was looking for a new mouse. I saw the G500 just came out, so I got it, and it's great. It has all the good stuff of the G5 plus some improvements.
Nice case Rook! It looks like you fucked up your post though, and put all of it in a quote from me, I think you should go back and revise that so you don't look like such an incompetent forum user!
You need help.
On the other hand, if that were true, that'd be one hell of a big computer. Take that however you like.
EDIT: Wow, my current setup really makes the tower look insignificant...

I wish people would stop quoting images or at least convert them to "thumbs" as I've done for the two previous quoted images.

^^^ Notice the p45, with 3 video cards, Sli hacked, and silly 4Ghz quad :)
Waiting on SLI Bridge to come so i can pump really pump some FPS out.:neckbeard:
Ive Cleaned the cables even more, and thanks to the camera my computer looks like a light show, but its got cold dark blue running threw the hole system. Its pretty black, and annoys me when i try to switch shit out to connect sata headers. :D
Hey Freelancer!
A CHALLENGER APPEARS
Freelancer knows the =CE=Chosen that used to play 24/7 on His CE server :D.
Me and freelancers could be sex buddies :neckbeard:
Ive been looking up and down this thread, and when i noticed TE FREELANZOR got 3 way monitor's in halo. When i tried it i couldnt get halo to run on trip 19inch monitors for my life. Was all streched out, but i got crysis running at 3900x900 resolution on 1 GTX 260 and 8800gt for physx :D
Just a better processor, I'd be clocking at 4ish Ghz if my motherboard didn't have a manufacturing defect that prevents me from doing so!
And I'd be doing it on air. :p
You should try a triple monitor setup with your 260's in SLI and connecting the two side monitors to your 8800gt, I've seen people that were able to get SLI + SoftTH working in that manner (using a third card for side monitor output).
Also, nice setup except for one thing that I noticed... Does the Antec 902 not have holes under the PSU so you can mount it with the fan down? It really decreases case ambient temperature if the PSU is self-cooling.
I should've known you guys'd be buddies. You hardware whores are a close-knit elitist group.
Triple monitor setup sucks. Who's with me on this one?
Would someone please call security and have them escort these shitty hardware owners out of the thread please? http://leimg.lancersedge.com/images/...6058719143.gif
my megahurtz
I can run this q9550 on AIR to, This q9550 is such a good overclocker, that my Voltage for running 4Ghz completely stable is only 13mv higher the the VID of the chip itself, Time to brag.
I got to 4.630Ghz at only 1.44volts which a Your TRUE or my H50 can handle.
at 4.5Ghz i achived that at only 1.408volts
at 4.3Ghz i ran 3dmark06 at 1.312volts
at 4.0Ghz im 24/7 stable with only 1.232 volts and my temps stay below 50c and on cold days, i see one of my cores drop to 19c idle T_T.
*step 1*I booted my computer at stock voltage and stock 2.833Ghz and ran Super PI and got 16 seconds. The voltage 1.184volts.
*step 2*Reboot the computer
*step 3*Then I just changed my FSB to 471 and didnt touch my voltages exept on the memory, and the memory clocks and timings.
*step 4* I booted up at 1.184 volts stock voltage but at 4Ghz
*step 5* I ran Super PI and it ran just fine and from 16.8 seconds i went down to 11.5-11.8 seconds at stock voltage Lols!!!.
Im contemplating on running my q9550 at 4.2Ghz 24/7 and let my loads hit 65-70c. I probably will when i get my SLI bridge up.
I might go for 4.7Ghz suicide later on but i want to keep this golden q9550 for a long time because its with the big hitters.
*NOTE* We should make a overclocking club on mod, but i dont think alot of people here overclock there hardware. :D
That rig would be great paired with a 120Hz display...
I chose the Q6600 G0 when I upgraded to quad core because it was the best OC'er out there at the time (with the exception of the extreme series money pit chips), I'm running 3.1Ghz at 1.152V so I could easily hit 4.0Ghz with this processor if my motherboard wasn't so gay. :gonk:
@ Yoko: Nice L4D posters!
Thats a nice q6600, you might be able to get a record out of it. Just put that bish on a benchtable, grab some 120mm fans, and maybe a house fan, and get CPU-z running and start getting 4.5+Ghz. q6600's can sometimes do 4.8Ghz well i dont know the records but ive seen a guy on overclock.net that has a verification at 4.6ish Ghz with a q6600 :D.
You could go down another 780i-790i ultra from Zotac on newegg thats like 100 bucks.
Or get a Ep45-ud3p motherboard,(ive done 2190FSB) and clock that q6600 to its knee's and maybe you can take a gamble and hack sli like i did ;D.
My q9550 does 0.992 volts for 3.0Ghz 24/7 stability. Pretty impressed with my voltage scaling. :)
I fixed it for him by changing them to thumbs.
I'm satisfied with the performance I'm getting out of this machine as is, so I'll wait until the next gen Intel socket processors come out in a year or two before I upgrade.
Edit - Posting my latest PC pics:
Cut the "honeycomb" mesh out of the front of my case for better/quieter airflow:
iCage located directly under the DVD drives:
Interior with my two 500GB hard drives moved into the iCage (two new 1TB drives are in the normal HDD area):
It doesn't look too bad. At least you can pat yourself on the back since the cables don't really obstruct the airflow of the second front case fan.
When I get in there and fix it I'm going to look into moving the HDD in the bottom of the iCage to the top, because if you look closely you'll notice that some of the cables are squished right up against the back of my top GPU. Once I do that I'll be able to hide the cables a bit better in the bottom iCage slot, or behind the 5.25" drive bays.
Edit - Got the G9 exchanged for my G9X:
Boring box/accessory shots:
Probably would of been fine with the G9 since the G9X is exactly the same except it has better internals (5700 max DPI vs 3000 max DPI on the G9), especially since 5700 DPI is impossible to control in any shooter, lmao!
Looks ugly as sin though.
Logitech mice always seemed to be ugly to me with the exception of the MX518, G5, and G7.
Protip for gamers: Optical > Laser. Seriously.
MX518 reigns supreme.
http://members.chello.nl/g.balk4/rev...tech_mx518.jpg
Yep, MX518 supremacy.
Yea, I have one. Compared to the MX518 this G9X is far superior, laser mice are way more sensitive and accurate than any kind of optical mouse. The main reason I upgraded from my MX518 to an MX Revolution was because DusterBuster spilled like half a bottle of Bawls on the 518, and now the right-click is fucked. I upgraded from the Revolution to this G9X because the rubberized stuff on the right side of the mouse was almost all rubbed off and it kept loosing signal strength and glitching out all the time.
I don't argue that it's ugly as hell though.
yo make a new thread if you would like to continue arguing about mice!
this is for computer pics :cop:
there is no argument
my mind is blown as i've just been forced to witness a level beyond stupid saiyan 4

Cute lappy glad you decided to buy it. :)
If you're sitting on a mountain of cash, then yes, laser > optical. From what I've seen, you get more bang for your buck with optical mice. Not like it's going to make a significant difference to buy a laser mouse anyway.
glad to see you we're just joking ^__^
At the moment i've not pictures of my pc but this is the mouse i currently have.
Works pretty nice, very responsive and i've not had a single problem with it from installation.
Seems like for one microsofts actualy produced a good bit of kit.
I quite like how you can replace the side buttons with different sized buttons.

Microsoft Mice, Keyboards and Xbox..I never had any problems with them. :iamafag:
E: Forgot my Zune...finest piece of MP3 Hardware out there. Survived 3 years and the accumulator is still going.
The Microsoft Habu is powered by Razer, not "lazer" lol. Change your specs.
I have a good amount of Microsoft products and none have failed yet. It's just that they're pretty old. Mainly mice, keyboards, and operating systems are what I have from Microsoft.
Yeah the operating systems i have no issues with, i would rather use windows than OSX or any linux distro.
Although i've had a mouse and keyboard of microsofts before and neither lasted long, my first xbox died after 6 months but the replacement is still kicking strong.
That thing looks nice and clean ^^
Retro chair xD
nice basement kyon
Lookit that sexy case! http://leimg.lancersedge.com/images/...6722327795.png
Yeah i'm going to build the next system in the old Lian-Li. CM690 feels like a toy.
Best case I've ever had the pleasure of working with, and I've used a couple Lian-Li's while build comps for friends with even more cash to blow than me...
I really like that desk for some reason, makes for a very unique setup!
I could not even work in a room like that for more than 5 minutes without going insane.
Within the first 5 minutes of being in that room I would probably trip over that desk thing and cause all of it's contents to go crashing down to the floor.
Same, plus I'd hate sitting on a couch.

Planning on dumping the 900 when I get my 5970's as soon as they're in stock at Newegg...
Should be able to do some decent cable management then.
Specs are on my profile if interested.
So you bought 2 4890's just to get the 5970's?
I was going to hold out for the 5970's but my 4850's were overheating like crazy... couldn't find the problem with them after cleaning them out and reseating the heatsink, so I bought some 4890's to replace them as the 5 series wasn't out yet.
those are nice cards.
It's a shame you can't route that 4 pin mobo power connector underneath the motherboard.
8-Pin.
yeah, if only I had a dremel.
What do you need a dremel for? Just lift the motherboard off the standoffs and feed the cable underneath, I know a few people that have done this with great success!
It's a 8-Pin cable, only the AM3 boards use them... They're quite a bit thicker.
I know, my HX1000 Watt has a couple 6+2Pin cables, they'd fit under my board just fine... And I was referring to people I knew with AM3 boards as well.
If you want you could also just take the sleeving off and run the individual wires under the board, would be very thin.
True, but it doesn't bother me enough.
Seein' all these people with very little wiring mess in their cases led me to give it a shot.
Old:
And new:
I managed to remove a couple cables and rearrange them; is it at least an improvement?
Now, out of curiosity... you all can see there's a big space underneath the hard drive bays. Would it be worth the effort to cut an opening in the front of the case at the bottom there and install an intake fan? Currently the video card sits at around 55 celsius at idle (I did just clean the dust out too) and I wouldn't mind dropping that temp a bit.
