Re: Halo: Anniversary - The Halo 1 remake (fuck anyone who calls it "halo ce" remake)
It seems the graphics make this game much more fun even though gameplay is the same. There are a few hiccups in the game but nothing that major. I have not seen the sideways ring so far and I'm on the Truth and Rec. level. Overall a great buy for $40 so far.
Anyone find the Assault Rifle more powerful, accurate, and useful compared to the pistol? I wonder if 343 intend the assault rifle to be the primary weapon like it should have always been.
Also for the crouch function. Don't they have a locking function in the options menu if you click the stick once to crouch?

Pretty sure thats just because it was a lot like that (for me at least) on XBox compared to PC. The PC assault rifle always played dumbed down compared to the original XBox one.

Love that they included modern control schemes. Bumper Jumper is my JAM! (until Reach took a giant shit on it with their stupid jet pack controls)
This game is timeless. I have a big grin on my face playing a game I've beaten dozens of times. Does it even need to be debated that this remains the best campaign in the franchise?

No, it does not. The first ever encounter with the covenant and then realizing that this isn't just action between human and covenant, but a horror like menace in the flood in which surprised every gamer playing halo for their first time.

That's a bug that was in the original halo xbox as well, but without toggle. When you held it down and tried to move at full speed you would always get back up.

There. Now you see it. It's tilted to the left.
As for the Assault Rifle: it owns in campaign even on PC, but it feels more powerful on Xbox due to the ever-present aim assist, which makes it a veritable laser beam.

Someone's eyes are playing tricks on their owner...and I'm pretty sure they're not mine. It doesn't look tilted to the left. I'm on that level so I'll check it out the next time I'm in the game.

My eyes are not playing tricks. Draw a vertical line down the ring starting dead center at its top. It's not straight. Hell, I just did it with Paint and I can assure you that it is tilted.

Looks tilted to me. That said, I don't know how the artificial gravity contains itself, if the surface is curved such that the edges of the ring produce a slightly tilted perspective, or what the deal is. Doesn't bother me too much, though.
