The skin seems to look more like wood to me im sure if you tried tweaking the shading it would probably look better.
Such as for instance where the nose would be there is no outline showing that a nose would be there, the eye lashes are longer by one eye than the other.
Little things like that.
what you guys dislike about it makes it look good.
Its 2d ness and the fact that the skin looks less organic
makes the character more mysterious
If that is the style she's going for, great then, but I think it would make the drawing more realistic, and, again, I don't think it would take much time to detail it; but with my almost non-existent knowledge/experience drawing I might be wrong.
thanks a lot for the crit. My intent was to have it celshaded in illustrator, but my patience kinda ran out in the middle of it so i tried another medium, hoping i'd achieve a similar look that way. didn't work, haha. When I have more time in the next few weeks i'll redraw the lines and give this picture another shot, hopefully doing the concept more justice.
anywho. some pencil fun to relieve school stress.
photobucket better not do shit about this picture. AS YOU CAN SEE, NO DONG.

I don't know why, but to me it seems like you mingled two perspectives (don't know the word for it..?) but I outlined them in red and blue. The right shoulder seems skewed/stretched, and the head seems just a mite out of proportion with the rest of the body. This is probably taken better with some salt as I haven't studied anatomy.
Heh, I like the faces on the bottom right corner.
haha thanks again, metkiller.
getting the anatomy correct was definitely not on my mind while doodling this. I'll be more mindful in the future.
