Looks great Lux, but you need to rethink about how some shapes touch other shapes and stuff. At the moment, nearly all the lines are joined as 1 big shape. Also, think a bit more about how the top and the bottoms meet the tops and the bottoms of the page.

If your cloning make differences, identical symmetry is not only annoying to me now after studying so many landscapes and architecture, it doesn't look right. Looks like you kinda overdid the effects on the last two...noise reduction and/or something? 2nd one looks like it's straight out of a game to me and the last one just doesn't feel that....real.

Pointless. If it's not finished, why bother? You should be able to spot the nonplanars without smoothing anyway.

I just wanted him to see that there are faces that need to be reoriented to look right, and it helps if he has a basic knowledge of what smoothing will be able to take care of and what needs actual fixing.
