Nono. Its 59.99 with/out taxes. Its about 68? dollars with taxes. (I looked around at my local stores and this is what they are all going for sadly).
razor released a fix for people who legit own the game so you can play MP without using origin. (doesn't work for pirated copies)
:o
just backup your bf3.exe and use this one, launch using battlelog.
i haven't tested it yet because im not a conspiracy nut like them crazy germans, and who knows if you can get banned with it.
I read your post and thought you said Razer, the game peripheral company. No, Bacon means Razor1911, the software cracking group. I'm going to use this thing until DICE puts out an official statement telling us that we can't use it. EA most definitely let this one slide and damn them to hell for it.
They did, look at my post on the last page.
aw, due to timing I didn't see his reply till after I posted.
Still though, impressive! Nice find.
Why not just buy it off D2D? Even with a Canadian credit card, you don't get taxed. Origin however charges tax.
Agreed with Amit, EB is a piece of shit. I used to go there for used console games and peripherals back in high school, when I had no online payment capabilities in my name, and I'm so glad I don't have to deal with them anymore. Do they still charge $5 more than Futureshop/Bestbuy does for a PC game? And their used console games are way overpriced, same thing with their peripherals. I'd honestly support Futureshop over those bastards any day, and I already avoid Futureshop at all costs except during xmas sales.

whoa, I'm psyched.
even i it does get on steam that wont mean shit, you'll still need origin (assuming the fix i posted above gets "fixed" by ea) and battlelog.
Yeah, it's no different from adding BF3 as a non-steam game launcher. I don't consider it a loss if it's not on Steam since it'll never use Steamworks integration anyways, but I do appreciate the convenience of having all my favorite games backed up on the same platform. If it does come on Steam and it gets a sale this winter break, I might re-buy it. I've already re-bought games on Steam when they were on sale even when I owned the disc version (supreme commander and splinter cell).
Battlelog seriously needs to integrate with the Origin in-game browser at the very least though.
Btw, does anyone have problems with the Origin overlay causing you to lose control of your cursor? Like if I shift-F1 to reply to a chat, and then close the overlay, I can't move my cursor, unless I press Esc first to get into the pause menu and then un-pause.
Steam's overlay on the other hand has not given me this issue. Oh yeah, to get the Steam overlay to persist, Origin needs to be closed before you launch via Steam, otherwise the overlay will break away the moment Battlelog launches.
