To be honest, he's right. While he may have been a bit extreme in saying that the gamer is being "fucked over", the industry puts out a lot of hyped up shit. Whether or not you think COD is an example of a shitty track-game is irrelevant. It's pretty obvious that this is a common trend.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
yeah fucked over was a bit much, but jesus christ you guys. way to totally disregard everything else in my post and jump on the one part that suggests im calling you guys stupid. im not. im saying cod is a poorly done game, and if you think its a good game, then youre wrong. fun maybe, but not good. i enjoy mw2 from time to time too, albeit usually only for about 5 minutes before it pisses me off, but you get the idea.

Oh ho ho, no no! I'm on PC so I'm instantly a noob and don't know how to play the game because I don't have hardcore Xboxxxx !!
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I've skimmed the last 20 posts and saw a lot of bickering.
Every single industry has it's crapshots. The majority of the human race has been sheer crap, but the minority which hasn't has kept the others afloat. As long as there are big drivers in play (ie, GTA, Halo, WoW, etc) there will be others who will coast off them. The big dogs show there is a market, which others will always try to get in on. While some of the more "hardcore" gamers may see what they think is a crappy knock off or complete bust of a game, there will be some average joe out there who will end up buying said knock off.
So no matter what you think, say, or do, you cannot stop the rest of the population from being themselves. There will always be a Ying and a Yang, two sides to the coin, an equal and opposite action/reaction.
There will always be bandwagons too. No stopping them either, because once you get a snow ball rolling, it won't stop until it hits something it can't roll over.
So everyone: shut the fuck up. Get back to talking about the new CoD game. I don't want to come back after hearing or seeing some jaded little bitch getting all emo about what they think is "wrong" with games or the industry. Music has its shit. TV has its shit. Everything has its shit. Deal with it. Flush what's yours, pull up your pants, and drive on.
End. Of. Story.
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I liked mw2 so I think Black Ops will also be a good game
I bet most of you that say mw2 is turrble and that Black Ops will be turrble haven't even played mw2 ~
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I've played MW (not online) and MW2 (both campaign and online). Aside from the various glitches that riddled it at release, it was alright. However, there hasn't been anything in the past CoD games that really set them apart from other shooters to where I would want to actively play them. To me, they also don't do enough balancing acts. Why would you, in matchmaking, shove a fresh face into a match which has people already half way thru another prestige? They could also learn a thing for two about UI design and usability testing.
Because of those bad experiences, I haven't kept up with BO so I don't even know if they've fixed these previous issues.

You might feel differently if you had tried Call of Duty 4 online, as it's dramatically better than any of the CoD games that have come since. Rank, even prestige, makes very little difference in matchmaking since you start with the most OP gun in the game at level 1. The weapons you get from that point on go from general purpose to being more and more specialized.

Makes it faster and easier to get a game together for one, and people can be max prestige without even playing a lot. That is if they get into hacked lobbies.

Me and Rook played a game with a guy who was bragging about being level 70 10th prestige. He went 2-27. Especially in PC levels don't really mean anything; in MW2 you get decent guns to start out with too. AK47 is the last assault rifle to unlock and it's been underpowered after cod4, the good ARs and other weapons you unlock early/have already. Of course there are moments in MW2 where Bobby Kotick never fails to piss me off, basically when anything happens in that game. People just hate it because IW didn't cater to PC players needs, hopefully they'll fix some of their problems in Black Ops. If they do I'll buy a dedi for all of you!
Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops
I don't know, I could hit pretty hard with the AK-47. Even still though it is out matched by the bloody ACR.
