The head seems... flat. I suppose that the lack of shading could be causing that, but even the face doesn't seem to have the sense of depth I get from the rest of it.

I'd go for a more black and silver color.
While that would look good too, I think the brown makes it creepier and more gross. Its like when you see a cockroach and freak out, except with a huge ass alien. That would be scary as hell to see.Quote:

Keep on pushing boba, you need to work on some of your detailing, and try more colours, very subtly, still can go with the brown, but had some slight hues of teal and greyish purple, just really slight, trust me itll give it a really nice membrany look.

Ignore him, keep drawing, keep posting, I love your work. Just try to make the leap like you did on the colored one above and quit doing side shots and try dynamic perspective drawings that are more interesting.
