I personally think they should have updated the Physics engine and animation system as well to modern standards. Then again, I think they're greatly limited by including that "Press THE BUTTON to make it look like 2001" on what they can do other than visual overhaul simply because it might interfere with the 2001's version switching.

They probably did it just to avoid this exact reaction. Confusion, frustration, and irritation towards a revamped Halo CE. That, and really, it's just a tribute. In all honesty they could have not done it at all. And we would have been none the wiser. So I for one, am happy that they're revamping the visuals. I think it'll be a lot of fun to play again and again.

Are all of ABadFeeling's videos like that? Extremely fucking loud voice overs? I would laugh, then I would have to dive to turn down the volume because of some loud ass fuck whose mic was way too close to their mouth

When you think about it, Halo 1's physics were only bad in being unable to move scenery objects. I'll be interested to see if they fixed that at all, or if we're stuck with non-moving cover. Otherwise, it's just a bit floaty. *shrug*

The physics were one of the best and most unique parts of the original game. If they updated the physics, they'd might as well update every other aspect of the game too, since the game would already feel wholly different.

Did they announce a new Halo for PC yet?

I think they are taking a smart approach with the remake. I'm impressed. I haven't heard anything about animations, though. I'm assuming they are going to properly animate faces during cut scenes, instead of having jaws flappity flap like Howdy Doody. Plus, fingers. Those are new to Halo 1.

The only thing I don't like and has always been a pet peeve of mind is including "Cpombat Evolved" as part of the title. It relates no in-fiction context, so it is not a sub-title, it's a marketing tagline. How stupid would it be if everyone referred to the first Alien movie as, "Alien: In Space No One Can Hear You Scream". Fucking idiocy. Then again, nomenclature is an eroding concept, so nobody cares.

I guess I can stomach Halo: Combat Evolved. But if I catch anyone calling it just "Combat Evolved", I'm coming across the table. Fuck it.

So, what's this Wii University I've been hearing about? Do they offer graduate courses?

I think Halo-slaves that spent 7 years accomplishing this would agree.

WOW I remember attempting T2T way back in the xbox days... I was able to get myself onto the top of the tower but could never get myself more than half way to the other tower...
