Halo 2 PC Closing Down

Well, this almost makes the idea of a H2 anniversary more believable.

It's bad news and I hate to hear it. :/
But it works to my advantage.

I don't see why they're closing down the multiplayer though. The game probably would of got more traffic if they took the time to implement improvements.

Seems like H2V was developed on XP but they slapped shit in towards the end to make it incompatible.

That's because that's exactly what they did.

Why, what's the point? It's already a lost cause and they know it. The servers would be better put towards something else. As you said, right now they're just an extra maintenance cost with no value.

Yeah, but I mean I really would have liked it if they'd have done something to help it before axing it. Of course, that's just what I would have liked and we all would have loved if it had had decent support during it's meager life span.
