Thats the result of me playing with it. I made it at 1AM, hence why it doesn't tile properly xD. Also, my base material is made of fail. Dane's tut is awesome sauce though.
Best way to check if a texture's seamless is to use the offset filter.
Legionnaire thats hot texture :P
I like to add rulers at 50% both X and Y to my screen and only work in 1/4 of the image, then I like to flip it to make it tileable :)
Oh, and I feel resolution 70 isnt high enough, I use 150 when I make my textures.
I know I'm not supposed to bump ooold threads but I've got something to contribute to it:
I think the links down, does anybody have a new link to it? I reformatted and lost the video, and I'd like to take a look at this again to 'learn'.
Its up, bloody rapidshare though, mirror any one :( please? :D
I have a newer much bettter video. It's not forerunner stuff, but it's far more useful to learn from.

Dane gave me permission to share this link:
http://t1xanton.com/files/Videos/tut..._Tutorials.rar
It's both of his tutorials in one rar, only 100 MB.
This tutorial was awesome, so after I saw what he did with his line tool i messed around with one of the original halo textures.
Pretty cool what you can do with just the line tool and nothing fancy:D
